COMMENT - The question which Readers should ask themselves is how effective is RMN in providing accurate information which can be used to build solutions to the problems which now confront us.
At one point I asked Raye, this was after I had been in Ohio for a few months, "What does Rumor Mill News DO?" She stared blankly at me.
I tried to make myself clear. "What do you do to activate people to get involved with each other and make changes?" More blank stare.
At the time I did not know RMN was a cash cow for her and as a disinformation site she received support from what I call Greedville, to muddy the waters on news and distract people from taking action. It has been a long run for Raye, years when she could relax and enjoy herself, basking in the adulation of people who did not understand she is one of the many assets who make it so difficult for us to enact change.
This is now changing. Effective action is coming up from local people who refuse to settle for what Greedville wants. Change has to be transparent, open, innovative and take us to ways of being with each other which are more compassionate, conscious, and kind.
Ask yourself if RMN, and Rayelan, have ever struck you as giving anything but lip service to these values.
