This ad
inquirer wants to know if we can, or will, accomodate text link
placements.
Please
provide technical and policy on this point.
Cheers,

Hi, Melinda -
She's looking to place a link inside one specific Archive post from 2001:
THE BUSH/CONDIT DRUG CONNECTION
http://rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?read=12551
I don't think it will do her much good, there.
This is the second request of this type we've had in the past week. The
first one didn't talk about money, and I simply went ahead and added a
link to the bottom of the post that was asked about. I don't think that
link will do anyone much good either, but it was easier to add it than to
get into a prolonged discussion over it.
We may get more requests of this sort. (?) I can't see charging anyone
for links on old post pages - for one thing, if we were to charge on a
monthly basis, it would mean keeping track of those old posts and
eventually removing the links, etc. We might possibly charge a one-time
fee. (?) Or do it for free as a neighborly gesture. Kinda depends on how
many requests start showing up. Third option: Ignore such requests.
